Filtering traffic and microniches

I just talked with a person who complained that even after filtering their traffic the conversions were just not coming. The complaint was that the time he had let ME talk him into investing to micro-niche had been wasted. His niche was Asian. His filtering was a joke.

His site is a comglomeration of Asian posts from dozens of sponsors (read–lacks focus). His attempt at filtering his traffic was limited to three lonely no text links about mid-way down the blog on the left side. They said: Japanese Porn, Thai Porn, Korean Porn. Once you clicked those links you went to a page with nothing on it but hosted gallery links for that specific type of porn.

I counted the outgoing links on his blog front page. 41 of them went to the sponsors in his post (this is good). 17 of them went to his sponsors in the sidebars (17 DIFFERENT sponsors) (no so good). 3 were dedicated to his filtering links. The remaining 84 were “traffic” links (trades, ect). When I tried to explain to him that this was not really good he countered with–”You said to micro-niche. You did not say to do anything else”.

My bad. Let’s build an Asian site the right way.

BEFORE you even open thumblogger—

1-Pick a sponsor. Two if you must. Three if you are crazy. NO MORE to begin with. And 1 (ONE) is better for the beginner. For this example we will use Method Cash.
2-Understand that you are not building ONE blog. You will be building a series.
3-Pick a paysite from your sponsor to be your main blog focus. You WILL use the others but ONE needs to be the focus. We will use 88Square for the example.
4-AT this point decide on your micro-niche catagories. This is very necessary if you are going to filter traffic down to a sale. Since we are using 88Square from Method Cash as our focus we will start our micro-niche list with the other Asian sites that Method has.
All Asians, Asian Sex Club, Filipino Fuck, PatPong Pussy.
Come to grips with the idea that you need to do a blog for ALL four of the major micro-niches. Decide on names for your blogs now. Go to thumblogger and get the blogs.

{This is your first tier filter. 75% or more of the outbound links on you focus blog (88Square) should be pointing at these 4 filters (either to your blogs that you are going to build or to the actual tour pages of the sites). 20% of your links need to be pointed at the tour and join pages for 88Square. 5% should be traffic trade links. NOTE: for the percentages we are not counting the links inside your posts! Your links for the four micro-niches should be text heavy. Yes—go take the tours and get ideas on what to say from the sites. Make them interesting. You can use banners too—but make sure you have at least two text links to the micros and make certain you always have the links to those 4 blogs at the top of your blogroll. 95% of all clicks done on your blog are going to go to your spots.}

Second tier filters require a bit of work because they are going to be different for everyone of the first tier filters.

Let’s look at the first micro-filter: All Asians. A look at the landing page of the site tells you two things—a-the site features Asians from several countries, and, b-bondage is a big part of the paysite. That tells you the way you need to develop links on this blog. You will NOT be linking to any more blogs (other than your blogroll [which has all your blogs on it] and a total of 5% of your outbound links). Your linking here is going to go to the tour pages and join site of All Asians. Your text links will mention all the different types of Asian girls available on the site as well as the bondage part. BE CREATIVE and do not use banners on this blog. Look at the hosted galleries for All Asians. There are 211 of them (as of right now). Look at the first one: http://hosted2.allasians.com/thi-mic…zox,0,0,0,2051 . The girl’s name is Michelle. Go LOOK at the actual gallery then put together a 10 to 15 word text link about THIS gallery then use an anchor like “Michelle is available here” with the TOUR or JOIN page link. Also have a “See this gallery link” going to the gallery itself.

Do that for every sub-niche you see in that list of hosted galleries. A quick glance showed me Lesbian, Solo Girl, Bondage, Schoolgirl, Maid, Toys, Hardcore, Softcore, Stockings, and Nurses. And that was a quick glance. You should have 2 for each sub-niche (20 by my quick glance). These text links will be in your sidebars on your All Asian blog. These sub-nich names need to be in the text links you develop. (For instance–the text link for Michelle should mention stockings).

This is your second tier filter for All Asians. You are directing your surfer to something they are looking for by giving them a choice.

Now go back to your list of first tier filters and put togets links for sub-niches for the remaining three (Asian Sex Club, Filipino Fuck, PatPong Pussy.

As long as you want to keep building blogs you can filer this down even further. Example–build a lesbian All Asian blog and filter down to Lesbians with toys, 2 Lesbians, 3 Lesbians, Lesbians outside, Lesbian with food

The possibilites are almost endless and the father you narrow the filters down the better chance you have of a sale.

What you are doing is keeping the surfer with you until he finds what he really wants. By keeping your outbound links to 5% or less and always cross linking your other niche blogs you allow the surfer to stay within your empire and still change his mind in the middle and go check out Filipinos if he wants.

Look at it this way. You go into a grocery store to get a can of soup. The soup is broken up into four sections. Regular can soup, Speciality soups, Fat Free soups, and Boxed soup mix. 88Square is your soup department. AllAsians, AsianSexClub, FilipinoFuck, and PatPongPussy are your sections. Lesbian, SoloGirl, Bondage, Schoolgirl, Maid, Toys, Hardcore, Softcore, Stockings, and Nurses are the flavors available uner the AllAsian section.
