What happens once you hit a desired number of blog posts
This is where I have evolved. I started by spending no money and worked my way to buying software.
First thing I did was use the Blog/Log items/Re-use log entries. I used this option for a very long time and REGRET it greatly. (Remember, I love the Thumblogger System and think it is brilliant.) The problem is when you redate old entries to be new you break a link in the search engine. For me the point is to build links in the search engine. (Speculation Follows!!!) If Google finds a 404 you lose ranking in the search engine. If Google constantly finds 404’s you screw yourself. (I DO NOT have a reference, but logic and experience I have acquired over the years tell me this.)
Second option is to reuse the old posts by reposting them. I did this for a while and ‘found for me’ that this worked much better than the reuse option. Problem was time… When you only have 10 blogs it is a piece of cake… When you have 100 it is a chore… When you go past 100 it is a nightmare…
The intelligent option: RSS2Anywhere and Gallery2Blog
I Highly, Highly, Highly, encourage anyone starting out in the business to get accounts with RSS2Anywhere and Gallery2Blog Today. Sign up right now if you do not have an account. Next print out the tutorials A Auto Updated Blog Tutorial and Gallery2Blog, converting (free hosted) galleries to fulltext blog posts. Now, if you are actually serious about the business you have an account with both, 4 new bookmarks (bookmark the applications and the tutorials) and printed copies of the tutorials. Take a Saturday, and learn to use these tools. The time you use to learn to use these tools is going to return MAJOR Dividends. The way I did it was to go step by step following the instructions again and again until I understood what I was doing. Using these tools can be intimidating to a newbie that has not crossed to the dark side of the web yet.
But, they are not that hard to learn to use, and the pay back for your time is phenomenal. And the only way to the next level is go to the next level, and unless you take the step forward, you are not going to move forward.
When I started with Thumblogger RSS2Anywhere and Gallery2Blog did not exist. Look at the date under my avatar. When they became available I foolishly procrastinated getting accounts and using them. I feel I made a huge mistake not going forward with the new technology, and feel it cost me profits I could have had.
Don’t make the mistakes I have. It is your option.
