What really works in the beginning
Domain names are a start, BUT, you’ll never get rich that way. Use it while working on making content for your site. Domains may earn you a gallon of gas or two since it’s really a long-term type of business requiring lots of inventory, branded names (but not trademarked), and upfront cash.
Content-rich sites are the real money makers (with affiliate marketing, but that’s for another day). Once you have practice getting people to your site, ask yourself, ”Really, how many people want to keep going to a site and click on an ad?” If they are strangers, most likely, they won’t do it all, without time and patience understanding this audience.
Blogs are easiest because almost everything associated with them is free, except hosting. Yet, with so many web hosts around, you can get a website and database for more than $7/mo. That’s all you need to get started with a blog.
Once you have a site with content and ads, you can now make some real money. 3 months ago I would have never imagined this was possible and it’s still only the beginning.
